These Terms govern your use of the RankShield WordPress plugin and the RankShield service it connects to (together, the "Service"), provided by SEO Elite Agency, Naples, Florida, USA ("RankShield", "we", "us"). By installing, activating, or paying for the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
RankShield detects and helps mitigate bot-driven CTR-manipulation attacks, sitemap-sweep attacks, and pay-per-click ad fraud affecting your website and ad campaigns. It provides detection, a protection dashboard, on-site challenges for suspicious traffic, and (on paid plans) IP exclusion lists and invalid-click evidence you can apply in your own ad accounts.
You are responsible for your account, license key, and API credentials, and for all activity under them. Keep them confidential. You must provide accurate information and may only connect domains you own or are authorized to manage.
You will not misuse the Service, including: reselling or sublicensing access except as permitted; attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure; using it to attack others; or violating any law or third-party right.
RankShield protects suspicious traffic using a brief verification challenge rather than a hard block, to avoid blocking real customers — but no fraud-detection system is perfect. We do not guarantee that every bot or fraudulent click will be detected or blocked, that legitimate visitors will never be challenged, or any specific change in search rankings, traffic, conversions, or ad performance.
Ad-fraud IP exclusion lists and invalid-click evidence are provided as tools. You (or your advertising provider) are solely responsible for reviewing and applying them in your ad accounts and for any refund or dispute you choose to submit. We don't control Google, Microsoft, or other ad networks and can't guarantee any credit or refund.
The Service integrates with third parties (e.g. Stripe, and—if you connect them—Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Ads). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. RankShield is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google, Microsoft, or Automattic/WordPress.
The RankShield WordPress plugin is distributed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later. The RankShield online service — including its detection engines, threat-intelligence data, APIs, and dashboards — is proprietary to SEO Elite Agency and is licensed to you for use with the Service, not sold. "RankShield" and related marks are ours.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect or prevent all threats.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RANKSHIELD AND SEO ELITE AGENCY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR AD SPEND. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
You will indemnify and hold harmless RankShield and SEO Elite Agency from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content or websites, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity) survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Florida will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
